The lowest value of direct premiums written by non-life insurance companies in the UK was recorded in 2008, when it was approximately 51.2 billion euros. In 2020, the non-life insurance sector in the UK had direct written premiums worth over 115 billion euros - a slight increase from the previous year and the highest value recorded during the time period under observation.
