CAMELS-DK: Hydrometeorological Time Series and Landscape Attributes for 3330 Catchments in Denmark

CAMELS-DK (Catchment Attributes and Meteorological Time Series for Large Samples - Denmark) provides dynamic and static variables for 3,330 catchments across Denmark. The dataset is built on various hydrogeological datasets, meteorological observations, and a well-established national-scale hydrological model. It is further enriched with streamflow observations for 304 of these catchments. The spatially dense and comprehensive coverage, providing data for all 3,330 catchments rather than just gauged ones, along with simulation data from a distributed, process-based model, significantly enhances the applicability of the CAMELS dataset. This is particularly relevant for developing data-driven and hybrid physically-informed modeling frameworks. Additionally, we include data on human impacts on Denmark's hydrological system, such as groundwater abstraction and irrigation.
