through a three-year field trial in a subtropical bamboo forest, we explored the responses of soil physicochemical and microbial properties to N deposition, biochar application as well as the interaction of them, and how the biochar regulated the N deposition-induced change in soil R<sub>H</sub>. Dynamic changes in soil respiration, temperature, water content, WSOC, MBC, invertase, β-glucosidas, RubisCO enzyme, cellobiohydrolase, GH48 gene, cbhI gene, cbbl gene.
