Dataset accompanying Pedrozo-Acuna et al.-Water sustainability criteria to regulate the proliferation of pig farms on a karst aquifer

This file comprises the dataset utilised in the manuscript Pedrozo-Acuña et al. “Water sustainability criteria to regulate the proliferation of pig farms on a karst aquifer” 

It comprises a population census at the municipality level in Yucatan Mexico, alongside a census of pigs per municipality, water quality measurements in 19 cenotes and 22 wells in the Mexican state of Yucatan, and data from 10 effluents measured in pig farms within the state. 

It also contains the estimated nitrogen green water footprint and Water Pollution Level for the pig industry at the municipality level.
