The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Lophophora diffusa

This study successfully deciphers the complete chloroplast genome of Lophophora diffusa using the PacBio SMRT sequencing technique. The chloroplast genome provides essential cues on population identification, conservation, and ecological application, enhancing our understanding of Lophophora diffusa position within the genus Lophophora. Further investigation into its genetic diversity and evolutionary relationships with other related species could also contribute to the biogeography and evolution studies of the genus.
