Taraxacum albidum is a perennial herb of the Asteraceae family, and both tetraploid and pentaploid are distributed in Japan. In this study, we have sequenced the entire chloroplast genome of T. albidum and characterized the genome structure of this species. The chloroplast genome sequence length was 151,451 bp, and showed a typical quadripartite structure with one large single-copy (LSC) region length of 84,053 bp, one small single-copy (SSC) region length of 8,541 bp, and two inverted repeat (IR) regions (IRa and IRb, 24,428 bp and 24,429 bp). The chloroplast genome contains 112 genes, including 79 protein-coding genes, 29 transfer RNA genes, and 4 ribosomal RNA genes. The GC content of this genome was 37.7%.
