Air Quality Index

The 2016–2025 AQI (Air Quality Index) dataset is a collection of daily air quality data used to aggregate air pollution levels based on several key pollutant parameters. This dataset includes columns for PM2.5, PM10, SO2, CO, O3, and NO2, which represent the concentrations of pollutant particles and gases in the atmosphere. Each parameter impacts human health and the environment, and is therefore used as an indicator in determining air quality levels on a given day.

In addition to pollutant concentration data, the dataset also includes a column for critical parameters, which are the pollutants with the highest index values on that day, which are the primary determinants of the AQI value. For example, if PM2.5 has the highest value compared to other parameters, then PM2.5 will be the critical parameter for that day.

This dataset also includes air quality status categories based on AQI levels, such as Good, Moderate, Unhealthy, and Hazardous. These categories describe the level of health risk from exposure to polluted air. The 2016–2025 AQI dataset can be used for air pollution trend analysis, air quality prediction, and machine learning-based research and environmental monitoring.
