Patient Treatment Optimizer

Overview

The Patient Treatment Optimizer (PTO) AI engine is built on the Snowflake Health Cloud. It recommends treatment plans for Patients/Members with Type 2 Diabetes. This uses historical patient records to determine what treatments will give the best outcomes considering both the cost and effect of treatment options in reducing long-term comorbidity and mortality. The treatment suggestion engine delivers results quickly and provides transparent output.
The Patient Treatment Optimization AI engine outputs the optimized treatment plan along with scoring details on all potential treatment options. For doctors, this model can be used for new and existing patients to quickly identify relevant treatments. For health care providers and insurers, the model can be used at a population level to determine what treatments are broadly beneficial.
We use the Snowflake Health Cloud and longitudinal data derived from our Health Databank from multiple payers for model training. The Snowflake Health Cloud is a HIPAA, HITRUST, GxP compliance secure cloud that is used by several large healthcare and life science companies.
The foundation of this PTO engine comes from our Health Data Bank – the health data bank and associated “Personal Health Plan” module additionally features (these capabilities are not part of the PTO AI engine):
