资源简介:

# Global Carbon Project Methane Budget Wetland Synthesis (GCP-CH4 wetland) ## 2025 Data Release ## Contact: Zhen Zhang (yuisheng@gmail.com or zhenzhang@itpcas.ac.cn) Dataset Overview: This dataset contains global wetland CH₄ flux and dynamic wetland extent outputs from ensemble simulations of multiple process-based wetland models. These data form part of the coordinated effort under the Global Carbon Project (GCP) Methane Budget Wetland Synthesis. The inundation dynamics are simulated using each model’s internal prognostic wetland dynamics module, which represents the temporal evolution of wetland extent based on surface hydrology and climate forcing. Data Description: The data are stored in a [NetCDF](https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/) and have the following attributes: - Spatial extent: Entire Earth - Spatial reference system (SRS): Unprojected (geographic, WGS84)* - Spatial resolution: model-specific - Temporal extent: 2000-2020/2000-2019/2000-2016 - Temporal resolution: Monthly * For a subset of wetland models coupled with climate models, Longitude between 0 and 360 is used Additional summary files are provided in CSV format for regional aggregates by Global, Tropics (<30N), Temperate (30N-60N), Boreal (>60N). **Variables included in this release** | Variable | Description | Unit | -------------- | -----------| ----- | totflux | wetland net CH4 flux per grid cell area | kg CH4 m-2 s-1 | fw | inundation extent | fraction Data Sharing and Authorship Policy: - Please cite the following publication when using the dataset: Zhang, Z. et al. (2025). Ensemble estimates of global wetland methane emissions over 2000–2020. Biogeosciences, 22, 305–321, https://doi.org/10.5194/bg-22-305-2025, 2025. - Co-authorship for model contributors is encouraged when a model’s data play a substantial role in a specific study’s results or interpretation. - Authorship and acknowledgement decisions should be communicated early in the research process with the dataset coordinators to ensure transparency and mutual agreement. - Users should acknowledge and cite both this dataset and the primary publication listed above. Acknowledgements: We thank all contributing modeling groups and institutions participating in the GCP-CH₄ Wetland Synthesis for providing model results and scientific support.
