Input datasets and TraCE-ST results for "Tracing the space-time causal origins of Earth system extremes"
收藏资源简介:
TraCE-ST processed data and trajectory ensembles This repository contains the processed datasets, trajectory ensembles, hyperparameter-search results, and analysis outputs supporting: Pérez-Carrasquilla, J. S., Nichol, J. J., Robledo, V., Bull, D., Dagon, K., Evans, M. N., & Molina, M. J. (2026). Tracing the space-time causal origins of Earth system extremes. The deposit accompanies TraCE-ST (Tracer of Causal Evolutions in Space and Time), a framework for reconstructing event-conditioned causal pathways in multivariate geophysical fields by iteratively tracing lagged causal parents through localized causal graphs. The archive includes: Analysis-ready gridded inputs for the three real-world case studies (Tropical Storm Debby, the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption, and the 2021 Pacific Northwest heatwave). Results from two controlled synthetic experiments used to evaluate causal-pathway recovery. Hyperparameter-search summaries, member-level diagnostics, trajectory ensembles, and intermediate analysis tables used to generate the manuscript figures and supplementary analyses. Metadata describing trajectory bundles, execution parameters, and exported datasets. The files are intended to reproduce the analyses presented in the manuscript and are designed to be used together with the TraCE-ST software package. The corresponding source code, documentation, and analysis scripts are available at: https://github.com/jhayron-perez/trace-st A detailed README.md included in this archive describes the directory structure, file formats, variable definitions, loading examples, reproducibility instructions, and data provenance.
