This dataset contains 3D ocean fields of temperature (T), dissolved oxygen (O2), and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) from 1780 to 2024 simulated with the Ocean Circulation Inverse Model (OCIM2-48L). The fields are used to compute the air-sea flux coupling coefficients in the associated study. Three experiments are provided. The base experiment is the reference historical simulation. It uses the OCIM2-48L transport matrix, observed sea surface temperature (SST) as the surface boundary condition, NCEP wind speed and sea ice, air-sea gas exchange following Wanninkhof (2014), a biological carbon pump from Nowicki et al. (2022), and the observed rise in atmospheric CO2, and is integrated forward from a preindustrial cyclostationary steady state over 1780 to 2024. The other two experiments are defined relative to the base experiment. The constant-SST experiment (noSST) is identical to the base experiment but holds SST at its climatology, which isolates the thermally driven component of the air-sea fluxes. The variable-forcing experiment (trvar5_biovar1) is identical to the base experiment but adds time-varying ocean transport with a 5-year decorrelation time and biological variability with a 1-year decorrelation time, and is used to derive the non-thermal coupling. Each file contains one tracer for one experiment, where tracer is O2, T, or DIC and run is base, noSST, or trvar5_biovar1. O2 and DIC are provided for all three experiments. T is provided for the base experiment only. Every file includes the tracer field together with the coordinate variables longitude, latitude, depth, and time. T is in degC and O2 and DIC are in micromoles per kilogram seawater. Fields are on the native OCIM2 grid (91 latitudes by 180 longitudes by 48 depth levels), stored as monthly means in decimal years, with land points set to missing values. Files are netCDF4 with single-precision data.
