Focused on the French Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), ATLASea will cover a wide range of marine species in all eukaryotic groups, from mammals to microscopic forms. Working together with the European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA) initiative, ATLASea is coordinating sampling, sequencing, and assembly efforts to generate high-quality reference genomes meeting Earth BioGenome Project (EBP) standards.
