A specific gene cluster: The indicator of the intestinal epithelial development

The purpose of our study is to clarify the development trajectory of intestinal epithelium. Our analysis on human single-cell RNA sequencing data revealed genes that strongly responded to the process of cell differentiation and development. However, human intestinal epithelium samples are difficult to obtain, making it hard for future verification and applications of the obtained genes. For this purpose, we conducted RNA sequencing on normally growing (Normal) mice to search for homologous genes with the same changing trend in huamn and mice, and then narrow down the gene range as an alternative.
