Exploring the Impact of Vaginal Microbiota Composition on the Health of Chinese Pregnant Women

To explore the impact of vaginal microbiota composition on the health of chinese pregnant women.The cohort study is approved by the Sixth Affiliated Hospital and the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. All participants have provided their written, informed consent. We recruited pregnant women during their first prenatal visit from the outpatient clinic at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital between January 2019 and December 2022. Data collected include sample trimesters, sample group, microbial infections, liver and kidney abnormalities, advanced maternal age, thrombophilia, gestational diabetes mellitus, and other adverse maternal and fetal pregnancy outcomes, OGTT readings, assisted conception status, and anemia status.
