Bile acids bind to exposed cavities in the glucocorticoid receptor

We propose certain bile acids bind to a highly conserved pocket in the glucocorticoid receptor ligand binding domain, interfere with receptor multimerization and modulate its transcriptional activity. Overall design: We use crystallography along with microscopy and transcriptomics to study the effects of bile acids on the glucocorticoid receptor activity.
