Classroom Experiences and Peer Belonging

This thesis examines the intersecting influences of society and institution on a child’s early peer relationships. This thesis establishes that teachers must strive to create the conditions that is conducive to both the demands of their institution and a child’s needs for positive peer relationships and a sense of belonging within the classroom.
