This project investigates the sources of English language proficiency among senior EFL university students in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, focusing on the roles of formal classroom instruction and informal out-of-class learning. Using questionnaire and focus group data from 60 participants, the study examines how structured teaching and autonomous engagement with English media jointly contribute to learners’ language development. The shared materials support transparency and future research on integrated EFL learning contexts.
