The goal of this study was to assess the impact of natural anti-methanogenic dietary compounds on the rumen microbiome of beef bulls. Anti-methanogenic compounds were supplemented to growing beef bulls for a 70 day period. Rumen samples were collected from the animals, at three timepoints (pre supplementation, mid and end supplementation) for subsequent DNA extraction, sequencing and microbiome analysis.
