Data for "The Challenges of Chinese Regional Energy Transition in Power System and Their Impacts on Air Pollutant Emission Reduction"

This dataset includes the following data:

1.capacity inatallation

We first predict the provincial new energy capacity installation in 2025 and 2030 (Targets of each new energy capacity installation (10 MW) for 31 provinces in 2025 and 2030.xlsx) based on the development trend from 2016 to 2022 (Capacity installation (10 MW) of each new energy in 31 provinces from 2016 to 2022.xlsx).

2. electricity consumption

Meanwhile, the social electricity consumption (Social electricity consumption (100 GWh) of 31 provinces from 2016 to 2022.xlsx) increased from 5.7 trillion kWh to 7.5 trillion kWh.

3.air pollutant emission performance

By combining the 2020 provincial emission performance (Emission performance (g·kWh-1) of thermal power generation of 31 province in 2020.xlsx), the air pollutant emissions in 2025 and 2030 can be estimated.
