We investigated the microbiome profiles of four matrices exposed to PFASs environmental pollution in the highly contaminated area of the Veneto region, Italy.Of the four matrices, three are environmental -one water sample, collected from the groundwater basin under the contamination source, and two soil samples from the nearby lands- and one sample of a spent granular activated carbon (GAC) filter used to purify water polluted in the area.
