SDG 12.c.1 Fossil fuel subsidies consumption and production billions of nominal United States dollars

This dataset reports the estimated total amount of fossil-fuel subsidies supporting consumption and production in Qatar. Under the official SDG methodology, fossil-fuel subsidies may include direct transfers of government funds and induced transfers through price support; tax expenditures, other revenue foregone, and under-pricing of goods and services may also be included when available. The scope covers fossil fuels and electricity or heat generated from fossil fuels. Values are expressed in billions of nominal United States dollars, using the prices and exchange rates of each year and without adjustment for inflation. The uploaded observations are classified as estimates. The dataset covers the period from 2010 to 2024.
