资源简介:
In 2003 and 2006, national attitudinal surveys on HIV/AIDS were conducted as part of the Initiative in order to establish baseline measures of Canadians’ awareness, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours related to HIV/AIDS. The purpose of the 2012 HIV/AIDS Attitudinal Tracking Survey is to build on the previous research to provide an overview of how the environment has evolved since 2006. The survey also explores the attitudes, knowledge and behaviour of Canadians on the issue of hepatitis C to inform the activities of the Hepatitis C Prevention, Support and Research Program. The research results will be used to provide critical evidence for the federal response to the prevention and control of community acquired infection, and support the public health function of preventing and controlling communicable disease by creating and sharing credible knowledge among stakeholders in order to facilitate coherent action with a focus on key populations. Evidence gathered through this survey is intended to enhance the capacity of community-based stakeholders to contribute to the prevention and control of communicable diseases in Canada.
