Indigenizing Salmon Management (ISM) Interviews (Alaska, 2019-2025)

The Indigenizing Salmon Management used a deeply participatory approach to document the breadth and depth of Indigenous values, knowledge, management and governance systems connected to salmon across Alaska. This data set contains audio recordings and interview transcripts with Elders and others knowledgeable about Indigenous salmon knowledge and stewardship practices across many cultural groups. Interviews also discuss limitations and inequities within current state and federal management systems.
