资源简介:
This dataset refers to Final Report of the ISP round 2 project number 111,
which has the name "PRECIPITATION IN SOUTHEASTERN SOUTH AMERICA: INFLUENCE OF
SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE, PREDICTABILITY AND VARIABILITY". This project was an
integral component of long-term studies on the climate of Uruguay, southern
Brazil, and northeastern Argentina by GDAyO-IMFIA-UR. The geographical region
in question extends along the Atlantic coast of South America roughly between
27S and 35S, and east of 60W. The economies of the populations in that region
are strongly based on agricultural products and the use of hydroelectric power.
A better understanding of the local climate and its variability is, therefore,
of primary importance. To find information about this project, as well as its
results, see the final report at
ftp://disbr1.iai.int/iai/isp2/111-Pisciottano/Final_Report.pdf. Principal
Investigator >> Gabriel Pisciottano, gabrielp@fing.edu.uy, Universidad de la
Republica.
