Microbial community of saline oil-contaminated soils

The aim of this work is to obtain native natural bacterial consortia that degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from contaminated saline soils and study their degradation efficiency. The study of the composition of the consortia and the prediction of existing interactions between populations will continue through the analysis of molecular ecological networks. Bacterial strains that have been key to the functioning of the consortium will be isolated according to the analysis of molecular ecological networks and the bacterial interactions between them will be studied through. The study will allow us to propose the design of synthetic bacterial consortia with isolated strains that have positive interactions and confirm whether they are efficient to be used in bioremediation processes of soils contaminated with hydrocarbons.
