A dataset of EEG and ECG recordings from infancy to adolescence at the onset of NREM sleep (Helsinki Kids 1K - HK1K).

Sleep is an ideal state to assess brain activity. This dataset contains EEG and ECG recordings from 1032 subject during sleep with ages ranging from 6 months to 16 years of age. Recordings are saved in the EDF data format. Age and sex aligned with randomized file IDs are provided in a CSV file. All subjects have been clinically assessed as having typical neurodevelopment. These data can be used to define normative ranges of paediatric EEG/ECG, build foundation models of paediatric EEG/ECG and generate age prediction algorithms that underpin measures of brain age gap.
