Number of tourist arrivals in the Brussels-Capital Region 2016-2020, by month

In 2020, the Brussels-Capital Region (Belgium) attracted just over one million tourists. Most tourists were registered in February with approximately 295,000 arrivals, while the month with the lowest amount of tourists was April, with 3,000 arrivals reported in the Brussels-Capital Region. Compared to previous years, the volume of tourists significantly dropped in 2020. This decline resulted from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which strongly hit the global tourism industry.
