该数据集包含由卫星高度计资料AVISO和再分析资料HYCOM计算得到的黑潮延伸体区域1993-2012年的涡动能时间序列；由HYCOM计算得到的1993-2012年间的四个黑潮延伸体模态转变事件期间的西北太平洋区域的涡动能以及涡动能收支各项。

This dataset contains time series of eddy kinetic energy (EKE) in the Kuroshio Extension region from 1993 to 2012, derived from satellite altimeter data AVISO and HYCOM reanalysis data. It also includes EKE values and all components of the eddy kinetic energy budget for the Northwestern Pacific region during four Kuroshio Extension mode transition events between 1993 and 2012, calculated using HYCOM reanalysis data.
