In this file, you can find how to match the items from R code with that from the manuscript. We examined measurement invariance in the association between the two latent constructs of social comparison concerns and competitive attitudes across gender and age using a sample of 430 South Koreans (SKs). With the establishment of partial strict invariance, we found that no significant difference emerged in the latent mean of engaging in social comparisons and exhibiting competitive attitudes between SK males (n1 = 141) and females (n2 = 289). With respect to age, SK adults less than age 40 (n3 = 209) are significantly more likely to engage in social comparisons than SK adults aged 40 or older (n4 = 221), albeit the effect size was small. Further, SK adults less than age 40 exhibits a significantly higher level of competitive attitudes than SK adults aged 40 or older with a medium effect size. Implications for these findings are discussed. Supplemental Material for: Lee, A., Park, E. A., & Jo, H.
