ASC-26: A Synthetic Room Impulse Response Dataset for Room-Type Classification

ASC-26 is a synthetic dataset of room impulse responses (RIRs), generated with a room-acoustics simulator and labelled by room type. It provides 5,000 single-channel RIRs, balanced across ten room types (office, meeting room, lecture room, corridor, stairwell, large hall, bathroom, cathedral, outdoor patio, outdoor forest), each generated in an independently sampled room, together with six standard room-acoustic parameters per RIR (RT60, EDT, C80, D50, Ts, DRR). Audio: mono WAV, 16 kHz, 16-bit PCM, peak-normalized. Labels are exact by construction (the generating room type). Generated with pyroomacoustics (Scheibler, Bezzam & Dokmanic, ICASSP 2018), combining the image-source method with ray tracing.
