Global superconducting gravimeter observation residual dataset

The global superconducting gravimeter observation residual dataset consists of gravity residual sequences from 59 observation records collected at 42 superconducting gravimeter stations worldwide, sourced from the International Geodynamics and Earth Tides Service (IGETS) database. These residuals are derived by removing modeled gravity contributions (e.g., tides and atmospheric effects, polar motion and length-of-day induced gravity variations) and instrumental perturbations (e.g., steps, gaps, and spikes) from the raw data. The compiled SG residual series span an interval of 26.75 years, from 1 July 1997 to 29 February 2024, unified to hourly sampling intervals, allowing the detection of subtle geophysical eigenmotion signals related to Earth's deep interior structure.
