Overall gene profile of keratinized and non-keratinized oral mucosa

Palatal and buccal mucosa were chosen as keratinized and non-keratinized oral mucosa. Mucosal tissues were collected from 3 groups of mice (n=10 mice/group) and immediately submerged in RNALater Solution. Epithelial and mesenchymal layers from the buccal and palatal tissues were isolated separately under Leica Microdissection system LMD7000 proceeding with the following sample preparation and bulk RNA-seq steps.
