Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer Model Tributary Cells

This dataset represents model cells in which groundwater flow into the ESPA Model from a tributary aquifer is simulated. They are sometimes referred to as “flux cells”. Originally, these cells were copied from the USGS model, and adjusted to fit the IDWR ESPAM1.1 model boundary. They were later adjusted to fit the ESPAM2.1 model boundary. The Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer model is used for water management decisions, including conjunctive administration of surface and groundwater.
