VPRS 16925 Index to Minutes and Papers of the Honorary Medical Staff, Senior Medical Staff and Medical Staff Association

This series consists of indexes to the minutes and records of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Honorary Medical Staff, Senior Medical Staff and Medical Staff Association committees. The minutes and records are located in VPRS 16804/P1.The first item is a card index to records for the period c1930 to c1980. The index appears to have been created as a finding aid some time after the records were in active use. It is not known who created the index. The facing card is annotated in pencil HMS/SMS/MSA Index to all Records 1937 - 1980). Cards are arranged alphabetically by subject and include a short prcis of the subject or matter, a date or date range, and a file number, where relevant. Note that the file numbers don't appear on the files in PROV custody as VPRS 16804.The second and third items are alphabetical subject indexes in small black ring binders. The first of these is labelled in gold lettering Index of Minutes. Honorary Medical Staff and covers the period c1957 - c1971 (judging from the dates of the entries under the heading 'Reports - Subcommittees'). The second has a hand written label Index SMS 1973 - . It appears to cover the period 1973 to 1979 (again, using the subcommittee report entries as a guide - though note that the 1979 entry is blank).
