Salvia splendens Genome sequencing and assembly. Salvia splendens

In the previous study, we resolved the complete sequences of the mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of two Salvia species (S. miltiorrhiza and S. officinalis). The predominant confirmation of these two species was two circular chromosomes. In this context, we further studied the mitogenome of a floral species of Salvia (Salvia splendens) to understand the characteristics and evolution of the mitogenomes of Salvia.
