The organizational structure, physiology, and metabolism of Rhesus monkeys are similar to those of humans. Infancy is the key period of the colonization of intestinal flora. At present, there are few studies on the composition and changes of the intestinal microbes of infant rhesus monkeys throughout their progression from birth to artificial feeding after weaning. In this study, we used 16S rRNA sequencing technology to explore the composition of the intestinal flora of rhesus monkeys of different ages and analyzed the trends and differences in the microbial changes observed during the different periods of breastfeeding and artificial feeding.
