As part of the characterization and investigation of the function of the psmA gene (vnz_18405) in Streptomyces venezuelae, a mutant lacking the psmA was constructed. Here, the genotype of this mutant was verified by genome sequencing and compared to the wild-type parent strain. The results are part of submitted manuscript (Singh Mavi and Flärdh).
