Identification of lignin synthesis related genes in 'Suli' pear (Pyrus bretschneideri Rehd)

Fruit hardening, a physiological disorder that affects the quality of pear, is usually accompanied by the lignification of fruit. However, the mechanism of lignin accumulation in hardened pear fruit remains largely unknown. Here, the molecular mechanism of fruit hardening in 'Suli' pear (Pyrus bretschneideri Rehd) was dissected by transcriptome analysis of normal and hardened pear fruit.
