JSMel: Public-domain melody subset (547 songs)

This repository provides the publicly accessible portion of the JSMel dataset, containing symbolic melody data for 547 public domain (PD) songs from contemporary Japan. Each melody is represented as two symbolic sequences stored as text files:(1) a pitch sequence encoding note pitches (with octave information), and(2) a duration sequence encoding note and rest values relative to a quarter note. The repository also includes metadata for all 960 songs in the dataset. Melody data for non-public domain songs are not included in this open release and are available separately through a restricted-access repository.
