Dataset of 'The Best of Both Worlds: Adaptation During Natural Tasks Produces Long-Lasting Plasticity in Perceptual Ocular Dominance'
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes the data and code for analysis of the paper 'The Best of Both Worlds: Adaptation During Natural Tasks Produces Long-Lasting Plasticity in Perceptual Ocular Dominance'. Three experiments were performed to examine how adaptation to complementary patchwork images using altered-reality system would affect perceptual ocular dominance and the visual perception. In Experiment 1, the ocular dominance of ten subjects were measured using a binocular rivalry task before and after they finished a 5-day adaptation to complementary patchwork images using altered-reality system. In Experiment 2, the performance of dichoptic motion coherence task, visual acuity, Ebbinghaus illusion, interocular phase combination task, interocular grouping task and stereo sensitivity were compared before and after another 9 subjects completed the adaptation task. In Experiment 3, we tried applying the adaptation method to amblyopia patients who had extremely unbalanced ocular dominance and found the vision of amblyopes improved significantly after adaptation.
