Annual total funding of high-tech firms in Israel 2010-2023

In 2023, the total amount of investment made in technology companies in Israel fell to 6.9 billion U.S. dollars. This represented the lowest annual investment rate since 2018. Between the boom year of 2021 and 2023, total funding fell by over 73 percent. This decline can be attributed to several drivers, including a global slowdown in venture capital funding, as well as local factors such as the controversial judicial reform announced in January 2023 and the outbreak of the Israel Hamas war in October 2023.
