Compare the stable silent strain of PhoR in Vibrio alginolyticus with the wild - type strain of Vibrio alginolyticus

Vibrio alginolyticus ND-01 is a pathogenic bacterium that has been isolated from diseased rhubarb fish and characterized earlier. The genes PhoB and PhoR regulate the phosphate signaling system, and our early transcriptome analysis indicated that they may play a role in modulating the virulence mechanisms of V. alginolyticus. Understanding the regulatory capacity and functional effects of these genes is crucial for elucidating their association with V. alginolyticus pathogenicity, thereby advancing our comprehension of its virulence mechanisms.In this study, the phoB and phoR silenced strains were constructed, and their motility, chemotaxis, adhesiveness, and biofilm formation ability were analyzed. The aim is to elucidate the biological phenotypes of the phoB and phoR silenced strains and investigate their contributions to the phosphate sensing ability, so as to treat and prevent V. alginolyticus diseases.
