Data from a pollinator exclusion experiment conducted on a natural Guettarda scabra (Rubiaceae) population during the flowering season of 2019 at Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park (25°35′55″N 80°23′55″W), Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA. The experiment consisted of four distinct treatments based on flower accessibility to visitors: Nocturnal pollination, flowers available only at night; Diurnal pollination, flowers available only during the day; Closed, flowers never available (negative control); and Open, flowers always available (positive control). Nocturnal visitors had access to flowers from 1900 to 0700 h, and diurnal from 0700 to 1900 h. Each treatment consisted of 33 plants, 2 inflorescences per plant;132 plants total. Each plant received one of the four treatments.
