VPRS 18219 Nominal Register of Patients (Larundel Psychiatric Hospital)

This series provides access by patient surname to VPRS 17837 Admission Register of Patients (Larundel Psychiatric Hospital). Two Admission Registers were kept concurrently, one which recorded all admissions and one which recorded only direct admissions. As a result admission records are sometimes duplicated, although information recorded may vary from register to register. Page numbers obtained from VPRS 18219 may refer to the register of all admissions, direct admissions, or both.Nominal Registers usually only record the name of the patient, date of admission and date of discharge (including death). They often comprise a list of patients in care at a particular time. They can be used to access patient records if the date of admission or date of discharge are not known.
