T. foetus is a flagellated protist and the causative agent of bovine trichomoniasis. The mechanisms of host-parasite interactions of T. foetus are broadly unknown. T. foetus cells of the strain DK2 were added to MDCK monolayers for varying lengths of time (30 minutes to 24 hours) washes were performed, using PBS and Trypsin and RNA was extracted from the cells of each wash. These were then sequenced using illumina Novaseq.
