资源简介:
The Grass Met station, installed in October of 2010, represents Pepperwood’s original meteorological monitoring station. This station was donated to Pepperwood by Lorraine and Alan Flint (USGS retired) and was used in the early calibrations of the California Basin Characterization Model (BCM) developed by Lorraine and Alan Flint. This station sits within the Markwest drainage towards Pepperwood’s Southern boundary (526656E, 4269181N). Similar to other monitoring stations on the preserve a suite of both soil and meteorological measurements are carried out by this station. The Oak Soil Moisture station (526817E, 4269163N) was installed in July of 2011 as a companion station to Pepperwood’s Grass Met station. The station specifically represents a ‘below canopy’ soil environment. Data from this station was also applied in calibrating the Basin Characterization Model. This station sits within the Markwest drainage on Pepperwoods southern end and collects a suite of soil measurements including: temperature, volumetric water content and matric potential at 4 different depths: 5, 20, 46, and 66cm. This data is collected in realtime and viewable online at pepperwood.onerain.com.
