This thesis presents an integrated approach toward the development of CO2 conversion systems through advanced reactor engineering and catalyst design. Bio-inspired flow-field architectures were developed using computational fluid dynamics to improve CO2 transport and reduce pressure losses in electrolyzers, while sustainable catalysts made from coconut waste enabled efficient conversion of CO2 into useful fuels and chemicals. The study also explored rechargeable Li-CO2 batteries, where CO2 can be stored and release energy. Together, these advances support the development of cleaner and more sustainable carbon utilization technologies.
