USE OF LIBRARY RESOURCES IN UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES BY THE STUDENTS: A SURVEY WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE ASSAM UNIVERSITY, SILCHAR

Library is the nucleus of every educational institution. Every academic library should have the adequate print aswell as digital collections to meet the thrust of the users. This study is based on use of library resources by the Students atAssam University, Silchar. The study has been conducted through questionnaire-based survey. The primary data wascollected through questionnaire which was circulated randomly among 140 respondents. On the basis of filled upquestionnaires the data has been analyzed and inferences were drawn based on standard statistical techniques.
