Track based hazard exposure and loss dataset for Western North Pacific tropical cyclones from 2000 to 2024

This release provides annual core NetCDF files for 756 western North Pacific tropical-cyclone groups and 47,903 retained IBTrACS track points from 2000 to 2024. Each track point anchors a storm-centred quasi-Lagrangian reference frame with a 121 by 121 local window on a 1/12-degree grid. The core files combine IBTrACS track metadata with annual population, harmonized nighttime-light intensity, the GDP-constrained LitPop spatial proxy, ERA5 daily maximum 10-m vector-wind speed, ERA5 UTC-daily total precipitation, and three fixed-reference relative hazard scores for wind, rainfall, and their compound occurrence. The 15-day GLORYS ocean fields, spanning relative days -7 to +7, are stored in compact annual source pools and recovered for each track point with the accompanying recovery tool. The public core release does not contain EM-DAT loss-allocation outputs; the optional `loss_allocation/` tool can reproduce modeled allocations when users supply the required official EM-DAT workbook and GADM 4.1 GeoPackage. All NetCDF attributes and the JSON schema are machine-readable metadata and take precedence if a field-level interpretation is needed.
