Check (cheque) payments per capita in the EU-27 as a whole 2000-2021

The per capita amount of checks transactions in the European Union from 2010 to 2020 has been on the decline. A citizen of the EU made on average 4.7 check payments in 2018. In the year following, this had dropped to 4.2 check payments. France is by far the country that sees the most check payments, with almost 1.6 billion check payments in 2019.
